Day 4: favorite quote  It wasn’t for the murder that the Gods cursed the Rat Cook, or for serving the King’s son in a pie. He killed a guest beneath his roof. That’s something the Gods can’t forgive.”

So, after seeing this post:

nobodysuspectsthebutterfly: I have this sudden urge to go back through the books and see which scenes and secrets were witnessed by ravens.

I’ve decided to compile each scene and passage where a raven is present. (I’ve no doubt I missed several of them, but it’s bound to happen.) There are several raven references without the actual animals being present, such as 'dark wings, dark words,' Tytos Blackwood’s awesome cloak of raven feathers and people talking about receiving and sending letters/ravens in the past. But this post is dedicated to the events and conversation that ravens witnessed, not every single mention of the word “raven.”

Oh my goodness, thank you for doing this! What a great resource. And though note I don’t believe every scene with a raven present had Bloodraven listening in, it’s pretty interesting to see how many and which scenes did have a raven there. (Bloodraven’s totally in Mormont’s raven for sure, at the very least. And Bran’s for sure in Theon’s in TWOW.)

I have watched you for a long time, watched you with a thousand eyes and one. I saw your birth, and that of your lord father before you. I saw your first step, heard your first word, was part of your first dream. I was watching when you fell. And now you are come to me at last, Brandon Stark, though the hour is late.

Bran Stark: Family, Duty, Honor. Is that the right order?
The Wolf & The Lion - 1x05
Switching it up, but I couldn’t resist.
